Ludhiana: Property of two drug peddlers worth ₹2 crore seized

The drug peddlers whose property was seized are Narinder Bisht alias Shubham of New Moti Nagar and Aniket alias Ankit Batra of Balmiki Nagar of Jodhewal.

Police Commissioner Kuldeep Singh Chahal stated that a case under Section 22C, 61 and 85 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against the accused Narinder Bisht alias Shubham at Division 7 police station on September 24, 2022 after contraband was recovered .

The police confiscated his 100 square meter house ₹59.90 lakh.

In the second case, the police confiscated a house ₹1.40 crore from Aniket alias Ankit Batra of Balmiki Nagar of Jodhewal in a case lodged against him on July 4 at Daresi police station under Sections 21, 29, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act. The Special Task Force had arrested Anikat alias Ankit Batra along with his aide for drug trafficking and recovered 560 grams of heroin from their possession. The STF had also recovered ₹22,000 drug money from their possession.

The police commissioner stated that during the investigation it emerged that the accused had invested the drug money in purchasing some properties, including a residential property.

According to the official, a report was sent to the concerned authorities in Delhi and freezing orders were issued by the concerned authority under Section 68-F (2).
