RICHIE KOTZEN releases “This Is A Test” video

Richie Kotzen has released the official music video for “This Is A Test,” following the recent release of his brand new solo studio album “Nomad” via BMG. The album is available digitally, on CD and sky blue vinyl and can be ordered here.

In the following episode, “Behind The Scenes Of Nomad,” Kotzen explains the origins of his song “This Is A Test.”

While Nomad has no shortage of hard guitar rockers, the album's sheer variety, as heard on tracks like “Nihilist,” “This Is A Test” and the title track “Nomad,” showcases more than just Kotzen's musical range and vocal prowess , but his fearless imagination as a producer/arranger. Already known worldwide as an exceptional guitarist, Nomad Kotzen is proving to be a truly remarkable all-round lyricist, producer, arranger and singer.

“My approach to the Nomad album was to imagine that I would only offer it on vinyl,” explains Kotzen. “What songs would fit together in this format and how would I arrange side A versus side B and so on and so forth. So to speak, the song “Nomad” on side A and “Nihilist” on side B became the closing track, as both compositions were written around the same time and I felt they were perfect companions. I am very happy to finally be able to share all of these compositions in the full release. I hope people feel the same way about the music as I do.”

Written, recorded and produced by Richie Kotzen, “Nomad” features eight new tracks that showcase Kotzen’s diverse musical styles, with Kotzen playing nearly every instrument on the album. On “Nomad,” Kotzen expresses his diverse techniques and influences, from hard rock to 70s-inspired soul and funk, jazz fusion to R&B. This is all tied together with his own unique approach to playing and songwriting, whilst maintaining his ever-evolving signature style.
