Delhi Police issues a notice on Virendra Basoya in ₹5,600-crore drug case

The Delhi Police has issued a circular to search for Virendra Basoya, who is believed to have fled the country in connection with a drug bust worth Rs 5,600 crore.

Investigators have identified Basoya as the mastermind of an international drug syndicate. There is evidence that he was responsible for shipping the shipment of cocaine related to the case.

Basoya's involvement was also found in an earlier drug seizure by Pune police in 2023 in which drugs worth Rs 3,000 crore were seized. He is reportedly close to Tushar Goyal, who was previously arrested in connection with the drug crime.

The ongoing investigation into the Rs 5,600 crore The drug network has revealed its wide international reachwith connections to cities such as London and Dubai. This information came to light after questioning Goyal and other suspects.

During questioning, Basoya, a resident of Sarojini Nagar in south Delhi, was identified as a key figure. He is said to run a large drug syndicate from Dubai.

Goyal was arrested on October 2 after more than 500 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana worth over Rs 5,600 crore were seized in a raid in south Delhi.
