27-year-old motorcyclist killed in crash on Northwest Side, SAPD says

There are currently no charges pending against the El Camino driver

SAN ANTONIO — A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a car on the Northwest Side, according to San Antonio police.

The accident occurred around 9:24 p.m. Friday in the 6500 block of Babcock Road near Spring Time Drive.

Police said 27-year-old Mark Reyes was driving a silver 2017 Yamaha motorcycle south on Babcock Road as he approached Spring Time Drive.

At that point, a driver of a red 1979 El Camino traveling north on Babcock Road turned left onto Spring Time Drive in front of Reyes and struck him.

Police said emergency responders treated Reyes for his injuries, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, there are currently no charges pending against the El Camino driver.
