A crash in Minnetonka closes 12 westbound U.S. lanes

MINNETONKA, Minn. (FOX 9) – The westbound lanes of US 12 were closed following a crash in Minnetonka Saturday evening.

What we know

The Minnesota State Patrol said the road will be closed from Carlson Parkway to westbound US 12 for “several hours.”

According to Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Map 511, the westbound lanes will be closed due to a “serious accident” until approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

What we don't know

Authorities did not provide any information about who was involved in the crash or what led to it. It is also not known how many vehicles were involved.

The extent of the injuries and the number of people injured are currently unknown.
