Columbia man was arrested after he allegedly barricaded himself in a store and threatened people Saturday

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

A Columbia man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly threatened several people in central Columbia.

According to a social media post from Columbia Police, 24-year-old Cameron Comstock of Columbia was arrested for disturbing the peace, fourth-degree assault, second-degree tampering, third-degree kidnapping and resisting arrest.

The post states that police responded to a disturbance in the 10 block of North Ninth Street around 11:45 a.m. Saturday. Witnesses allegedly told police that Comstock threatened people and threatened to attack a man with a fire extinguisher.

Comstock then allegedly attempted to barricade himself inside an unnamed business.

Comstock was listed on the Boone County jail list Saturday evening without bail.
