Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns win, Rock back

It’s time to settle some bad blood.

After 20 years since the last edition, WWE brings back Bad Blood premium live event and it’s the perfect title for what will have several feuds either entering a new chapter or culminating on Saturday night.

Highlighting the night are two of the top feuds of 2024: CM Punk and Drew McIntyre meeting in a Hell in a Cell match, and Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns putting their differences aside to go up against the new version of The Bloodline. Also on the schedule is The Judgment Day going up against the Terror Twins in two matches, and a rematch will take place for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Kevin Owens attacks Cody Rhodes after Bad Blood ends

Cody Rhodes was scheduled to speak at the press conference that followed the show but Triple H informed the media that Rhodes wasn’t going to make it.

Shortly after, videos began to surface on social media of Kevin Owens attacking the WWE Champion in front of the fans, who were waiting outside the arena with the intention of seeing and interacting with the various members of the show as they left the venue.

Owens has not been pleased with Cody in recent weeks after Cody decided to team up with Roman Reigns.

The Rock appears at Bad Blood

As things appear to be settling down with the main event, the Rock made an appearance to end the show. While he didn’t verbally say anything, he did make gestures toward Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. The three of them were all involved in the WrestleMania 40 main event.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns vs. The Bloodline results

Roman Reigns and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes lived up to their word to one another and managed to get a victory over Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa from the Bloodline.

Roman and Cody, considering their ties to the state of Georgia, had the majority of the crowd behind them throughout most of the match.

Roman played football at Georgia Tech while Cody is currently based out of Atlanta.

After a back-and-forth match between the two teams, momentum began to shift in favor of Roman and Cody, after the champion jumped from the turnbuckle and landed on Jacob, who was lying on an announce table.

The moment kept Jacob out of the match the rest of the way while Roman and Solo continued to battle in the ring.

Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa ran out to distract Roman but Jimmy Uso arrived to help make the save.

Following the conclusion of the match, Roman looked shocked to see Jimmy.

Jimmy’s brother, Jey Uso, was spotted in the arena earlier in the evening but did not come out during the main event.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns acknowledged each other before leaving the ring. As Jimmy and Roman begin to head back toward the locker room, Cody is attacked by members of the Bloodline. While Roman took a brief pause to think about returning to the ring, some convincing from Jimmy led to both men coming back to assist the WWE Champion.

Cody Rhodes invites University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff marching band to perform

Cody Rhodes had the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff marching band out at ringside to perform his entrance song “Kingdom” as he made his way toward the ring prior to the main event.

The band went viral after performing Cody’s entrance song during a football game in August.

Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan results

Dominik Mysterio managed to pick the lock and open the cage door as Rhea performed a frog splash on Liv. Rhea was distracted and taunted Dom.

Moments later as Dom tried to find a way to escape, he managed to find himself hanging by the chain around his leg outside of the cage. Rhea started attacking him with a kendo stick before Raquel Rodriguez came out to attack Rhea.

Raquel’s unexpected arrival proved to be the difference as Liv managed to retain her championship.

Famous faces in the Bad Blood crowd

Musicians Metro Boomin, Quavo and Lil Baby were all seen in the crowd at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Several WWE Hall of Famers, including Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard were also in the crowd.

Triple H introduces a new Crown Jewel championship at Bad Blood

Triple H came out to the ring to unveil a new 15K carat diamond championship that will be on the line during a pair of matches at Crown Jewel.

The chief content officer also announced 16,092 were in attendance for the Bad Blood event and said it was WWE’s 60th sold out event in 2024.

Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor results

Damian Priest and Finn Balor was a fairly even contest until Carlito and JD McDonagh of Judgement Day came down to the ring to interferre.

Despite Judgement Day’s best effort to get involved in the match, Priest overcame the uneven odds to secure a victory over Balor with a South of Heaven chokeslam.

Bayley-Nia Jax RAW Women’s Title results

Nia Jax used her power as an advantage and delivered punishment to Bayley early on in the match. Despite Bayley’s attempts to rally in the match, Jax would slam her on the steel steps and the barricade outside of the ring.

Referee Jessika Carr was caught in the crossfire and taken down during an exchange between the two competitors. Bayley tried to pin Nia but the official wasn’t there to make the count. Tiffany Stratton came down to the ring to potentially cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase and win the championship for herself.

While Stratton was unable to capitalize on the opportunity, her appearance proved to be enough of a distraction to give Jax the upper hand and the eventual victory after using a Samoan drop and her finisher, the Annihilator, on Bayley.

Hell in a Cell match: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre results

The feud appears to have concluded with a bloody fight that lived up to the event’s title, “Bad Blood.”

Drew McIntyre remained dominant early on and caused CM Punk to bleed with strikes to his head, using the steel stairs at ringside. Punk would return the favor, causing McIntyre to bleed as well after hitting him with a metal toolbox. Both would perform the rest of the match with crimson masks as a result of their wounds.

The pace of the match slowed down after McIntyre got a hold of Punk, who was attempting to suplex him, and performed a suplex of his own that took both men out of the ring and crashing through a table.

CM Punk got the best of Drew McIntyre in the end, having wrapped a steel chain around his right knee and driving it into the face of his opponent. The aftermath of the fight left the ring mat a bloody mess and red, white and blue beads scattered all over the ring. The beads were symbolic of Punk’s beaded bracelet that featured the name of his wife AJ Lee and his dog “Larry” that was stolen by McIntyre.

Punk walked out of the ring and began making his way back to the locker room before he collapsed to the ground and was briefly attended to by medical personnel.

Metro Boomin is in attendance for Bad Blood

Record producer and songwriter Metro Boomin appeared at the start of Bad Blood arriving with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. He was also seen in a photo with WWE chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque on social media. WWE is using Metro Boomin and Future’s song “GTA” as the theme song for Bad Blood.
