Chattanooga man arrested with fentanyl | Local News

A Chattanooga man was arrested after he was found with drug paraphernalia, including fentanyl, and being a registered sex offender near a school.

On Thursday evening, October 3rd, Chattanooga Police responded to a call from 13th Street Ct. It's about several men entering and leaving a woman's house. It was also reported that a strange smell was coming from the house.

When police arrived, two men were trying to escape through the back door. The first man stopped to talk to them and said he was homeless and just visiting.

The second man, Antonio Blocker, wasn't as eager to explain. He became hostile and denied even being in the apartment.

As his voice grew louder and he began to scream, neighbors crowded the scene. At that point, police arrested Blocker for disorderly conduct.

The woman living in the apartment was able to explain who Blocker was and that he had been staying with her to help clean.

When Blocker's identity was confirmed, it was discovered that he was a registered sex offender. Directly opposite the apartment there is a school, a playground where the children regularly play, and a school bus stop.

While waiting for backup, someone anonymously told police that Blocker's car was parked right at the end of the street and asked them to check it out.

Blocker made it clear he didn't want police entering his car, but when K9 arrived on the scene they were hit. The car was searched.

There was 5.7 grams of fentanyl wrapped in aluminum foil in the side door of the car and a crack pipe in the truck.

There is a video of Blocker getting in and out of the car without anyone else around, confirming that the vehicle is his.

When Blocker learned that his car had been searched and the drugs had been found, he became angry. He started hitting his head so badly that he cut himself and bled.

The blocker was accused of:

• Disorderly behavior
• Sex offender is near a school/playground
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of fentanyl
