YouTube has restored all channels and repaired recent videos after an error occurred on the platform | Morung Express

New Delhi, October 6 (IANS): Google-owned YouTube announced in a recent update that all channels and most videos that were removed due to a technical glitch or bug have been restored.

After a bug incorrectly marked some channels as spam and removed them, YouTube began working on a fix.

“I'm pleased to announce that all channels and most erroneously removed videos have been restored and subscriptions restored (we're still working on the last ones, bear with us),” YouTube said in a post on the social early Sunday -Media platform X.

“We understand that this has caused disruption and thank you for your patience as we resolve the issue,” the company added.

The Google-owned company previously said its teams are “still working to restore the channels and subscription access that were mistakenly removed.”

“We're sorry for the trouble! Some content like playlists may be delayed, but everything will come back. Thank you for your patience as we work on this,” the company had mentioned in a post on X.

The YouTube channels were mistakenly removed for “spam and deceptive practices.” This included access to all subscriptions (YouTube TV, YouTube Premium, YouTube Music).

The company also mentioned that some YouTube creators may be missing content such as playlists. But these too will be restored soon, the company added.

The original notice and subsequent updates on the support page were directed at “Content Creators.”

However, some non-content creators were unable to access their YouTube accounts, watch YouTube videos, or even listen to YouTube music.

Some paid subscriptions such as YouTube Premium are reportedly unavailable and saved content, including playlists, cannot be viewed.

However, YouTube did not confirm how many users were affected by the technical glitch.
