KOLKATA: A 15 year old girlwho was allegedly sexually abused by a neighbor in Jatragachhi New city Last week she opened up to her parents on Friday and a letter was written Police complaint filed and the defendant arrested.
The family told police that the girl always addressed the man as her uncle. Last week, when she was home alone, he allegedly sexually abused her.
The family also told the police that the accused threatened the girl with acid attack if she dared to inform anyone about the incident.
Police said they have opened a sexual assault case and are waiting for the girl's medical test results. After the locals came to know about the situation, they vandalized the accused's house and attacked him on Friday evening. Later, the police managed to take him to the police station. The mob later staged a demonstration in the area.
