Pedestrian killed in accident at Aurora intersection

AURORA, Colo. — Aurora police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at an intersection on E. Colfax Avenue Saturday.

The accident occurred around noon at E. Colfax Avenue and Macon Street.

According to police, a man who was walking in the area was hit. It is unclear whether the man crossed the street.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His identity will be revealed at a later date.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident remained at the scene of the accident. It is unknown whether they will be cited.

Traffic investigators are working to clarify the circumstances that led to the accident.
