The design and camera specifications of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra have been leaked ahead of the launch

Xiaomi is ready to launch the Xiaomi 15 series on October 23, 2024 in China with the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. In addition to these flagship devices, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is rumored to hit stores in early 2025. Amid the hype, new leaks have now surfaced on the internet revealing some of the design and camera features of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra design

Recently, a popular tipster, Sanju Choudhary, took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal the design of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The shared image offers a first look at the front and back of the device. On the back there is a circular camera module with four sensors.

Advanced camera features

Expectations for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra's camera are sky-high as the new 1-inch primary sensor, originally used in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, is expected to grace the body of this phone. This sensor has proven itself in capturing very detailed and vivid footage.

In addition, the new Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also feature a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, most likely inherited from the design of the Vivo X100 Ultra. This camera setup potentially makes the 15 Ultra one of the best contenders in mobile photography.

On the front there is a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, synonymous with most trends in modern smartphone design.

Global and Indian release

The new Xiaomi 15 Ultra has already appeared in the various databases, from the IMEI database for Chinese, Global and Indian variants to recent records where it appeared in the EEC database, meaning that it is the release in Europe confirmed. Therefore, the device is being launched globally, both in Europe and India.

According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is set to launch in India, but a specific date has not been confirmed yet. However, the device is expected to launch in January or February 2025, with much more to come in the coming months.
