Jennings County man arrested for Level 1 child abuse

JENNINGS COUNTY – The Jennings County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Jennings County man on Level 1 Child Abuse charges.

The investigation, led by Detective Ian McPherson, began when investigators were contacted by Sgt. John Amis with the Jennings County Sheriff's Office reports a possible child abuse incident in Jennings County. Amis received the first report.

Investigators worked with members of the Indiana Department of Child Services and the Children Advocacy Center. The investigation revealed that 69-year-old David Moser was involved in the molestation of a ten-year-old girl with autism.

At the conclusion of the investigation, McPherson arrested Moser on the preliminary charge of Child Abuse, a Level 1 felony.

Moser was later booked into the Jennings County Jail, where his bail was set at $75,000 by the court.

Chief Deputy Cody Low reiterates to the community, “This case defines evil to its core. Jennings County Sheriff’s Office detectives and deputies will continue to aggressively pursue anyone who victimizes the children in our community.”
