Schoharie woman charged with drunk driving after collision with Rensselaerville home

Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple, Sr. reports the arrest of a Schoharie woman for drunk driving.

On October 5, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., deputies with the Albany County Sheriff's Office received a call about a vehicle that had crashed into a home in the town of Rensselaerville.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Cassandra M. Wilkinson of Schoharie. According to the sheriff's office, Wilkinson exhibited signs of intoxication and failed roadside sobriety tests. Wilkinson was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Wilkinson refused to submit to a chemical test to determine her blood alcohol content.

Wilkinson was charged with driving under the influence (an unclassified misdemeanor) and driving under the influence (Class E felony). She is scheduled to be arraigned in Rensselaerville City Court at a later date.
