Does Tupac Shakur's crime scene investigator believe the viral theory linking Diddy to the rapper's death? READ

Trigger Warning: This article contains mentions of murder and sexual assault.

Since his arrest on sex trafficking charges on September 16, 2024, Sean Diddy Combs appears to have opened Pandora's Box. According to crime scene investigator Sheryl McCollum, the rapper may have had something to do with the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur.

In a recent interview with NewsNation, crime scene investigator McCollum suggested that Combs is most likely connected not only to Shakur's fatal Las Vegas shooting in 1996, but also to the 1994 Quad Studio shooting. Shakur was riddled with bullets during a suspected robbery.

McCollum expressed concern that in a studio with more than a dozen people, the only target was Shakur while Diddy was there with his entourage of 40 people. McCollum wondered, “How can it be clear to anyone that one person is being robbed and the other 40 aren’t?” Who would have had more money and jewelry? Forty.”

Shakur had made similar allegations against Combs and the late Biggie Smalls, or The Notorious BIG, of Bad Boy Records. In a 1995 archival interview with Vibe magazine, the “Hail Mary” rapper recounted how he entered the studio already injured and no one seemed concerned.

None of them were smart enough to say hello, which only added to his concerns. He noted, “No one came toward me.”

The late rap legend added: “Puffy also held back. I knew Puffy. He knew how much I had done for Biggie before he came out.”

Of the 1996 Las Vegas murder and the 1994 shooting, McCollum explained that the two events involved Shakur being “cornered.” The first shooting occurred in an elevator and later the fatal attack occurred in a car: neither had any chance of escape.

McCollum claimed there should have been someone close to Shakur who knew exactly where he was, thus limiting the number of possible perpetrators. She noted: “Ironically, there is no video footage of either scene. To me that means that someone close to you knows where you are on that day, at that time and in that place.”

Both Diddy and Biggie said they had nothing to do with Shakur's murder, as Biggie himself was murdered in 1997, a year after the Dear Mama rapper's death. According to Page Six, Shakur's family will now sue Combs for his wrongful death.

Tupac's family has brought in attorney Alex Spiro to search for answers. McCollum announced that several people connected to Sean Diddy Combs are now coming forward with information. Meanwhile, Combs is already in prison for numerous crimes, including sexual assault, sex trafficking, extortion and more.
