Toyah Wilcox rejects criticism

Last week's elimination sparked controversy online as viewers claimed the judges saved Toyah Wilcox in the dance-off just to balance the genders, with six female celebrities taking part compared to nine men.

However, Toyah is defiant and insists that her performance in the jive was the real reason she was saved.

The singer and actress believes her skills on the dance floor speak for themselves.

She said: “When young people see me there may be ridicule – but this puts me in a great position to prove them wrong.”

Despite being the favorite to be eliminated this weekend, Toyah won't be going down without a fight.

She and her professional partner Neil Jones will perform a samba to “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from “The Little Mermaid.”

Fans are furious as Nick Knowles gets a free pass

Die-hard Strictly Come Dancing fans have expressed their frustration that accident-prone Nick Knowles has been given a free pass to next week after his latest injury.

Yesterday, the TV host and his partner Luba Mushtak announced they would not be taking part in tonight's show after Nick was ordered to undergo an MRI scan for his knee injury.

One fan wrote on social media site X: “Nick Knowles has to go.”

Another said: “Hopefully if he’s able to do it…”. And what if he isn't? What do you say to the couple who goes home this week for no reason?”
