Official: Barcelona's starting lineup against Alaves

After a defeat against Osasuna, Barcelona will look to get back to winning ways against Deportivo Alaves this afternoon.

Barcelona have already announced the starting XI that will face Alaves, with some changes compared to the team that lost to Osasuna.

Hector Fort notably replaces Jules Kounde in the right-back position – a move likely aimed at giving the Frenchman a much-needed breather.

The rest of the defensive line remains largely the same: Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi form the central defensive pair, while Alejandro Balde takes up the left defensive position.

Inaki Pena remains in goal, Ander Astralaga serves as a substitute. New signing Wojciech Szczesny is not yet ready to play for Barcelona.

In midfield, Hansi Flick has opted to use Raphinha in the number ten position, while Pedri and Marc Casado operate in deeper roles.

Raphinha, who started in attacking midfield, gave Flick the opportunity to start with Ferran Torres on the outside. The Spaniard must be right as he wants to secure a place in Flick's squad this season.
