KENNER, La. – Kenner police announced they arrested three men who were allegedly walking down the street with AR-15 pistols and drugs.

On Thursday, Kenner police said dispatch received a 911 call about three “suspicious persons” in the 700 block of Vouray Drive.

“The caller stated that three people were walking in the area and appeared to be carrying firearms. Officers responded immediately and located Marvin Hamilton, 24, of Metairie, Cedric Alexander, 23, of Metairie, and Tyrone Jackson, 32, also of Metairie. The officer’s investigation revealed that the subjects had two loaded AR 15 pistols and approximately 108 grams of marijuana,” a Kenner police report states.

The men were arrested and charged with drug and weapons offenses.

As part of the investigation, officers also arrested Raheem Williams, 31, of Kenner, for being a felon in possession of a firearm and a fugitive from Jefferson Parish.

“No matter your opinion on marijuana, everyone should be alarmed when these guys have the audacity to walk down a street fully armed with AR-15 pistols, especially in Kenner,” Chief Conley said. “If you see something, say something and together we can protect those in the know!”
