Predicted lineup of Tottenham Hotspur vs Brighton & Hove Albion: Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming for a sixth successive win in all competitions when the north London outfit take on Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.

Spurs picked up their second win of the Europa League league stage in their last outing, beating Ferencváros 2-1 as Brennan Johnson scored for the fifth time in a row.

Tottenham are in eighth place in the Premier League table with 10 points, just one point ahead of their weekend opponents Brighton – head coach Fabian Hürzeler is also relying on a similarly high defensive line as Postecoglou.

Tottenham romped to a 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford in their final Premier League game. The team was without captain Son Heung-min for the game, while Destiny Udogie was substituted at half-time with a strike.

“… From the guys who were kind of left behind [in London for the Ferencváros match]“We believe that fate will be fine,” Postecoglou said in a press conference before Friday's game. “We've got training today and tomorrow so he's got to get through that. “Sonny is unlikely, he's putting a lot of pressure on but I just don't think the turnaround will happen quickly enough to make him available at this point.”

Postecoglou will look to keep the momentum going and field a similar eleven that took three points against United.

TW: Guglielmo Vicario—Tottenham's No. 1 will start between the posts and could have an exciting game against the likes of Danny Welbeck, João Pedro, Kaoru Mitoma and Yankuba Minteh.

RB: Pedro Porro—Porro played the entire 90 minutes against Ferencváros but is crucial to the Postecoglou system.

CB: Cristian Romero– Like Porro, Romero played the entire midweek game but is close to starting in the Tottenham defense again.

CB: Micky van de Ven—The fast defender had the chance to take a breather on the bench in the Europa League duel.

LB: Destiny Udogie—Based on Postecoglou's comments, Udogie should be selected at left-back and return to defense.

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur—Bentancur should be fully fit and firing after watching the game against Ferencváros from the bench.

CM: James Maddison—Maddison came on as a substitute late in the midweek game and impressed on offense.

CM: Dejan Kulusevski– Arguably Tottenham’s best player of the season so far. The former Juventus winger has made a seamless transition into midfield and looks threatening every time he receives the ball in space.

RW: Brennan Johnson– Undoubtedly Tottenham’s most in-form player at the moment. The young winger hopes to score six goals in as many games.

ST: Dominic Solanke—Solanke is finding his footing in Postecoglou's system and is looking sharper and sharper with each game. He has scored up to three goals in his last four appearances for his new club.

LW: Timo Werner– Since it is unlikely that Son will be there, Werner keeps his place in the team. He will look to be more clinical in front of goal to help Tottenham take three points.
