Incident on N. Royal Street draws heavy police presence

JACKSON, Tenn. – Tipsters are alerting us to a heavy police presence on N. Royal St. in Jackson.

Our WBBJ-7 Eyewitness News team was notified of a heavy police presence on North Royal Street in Jackson early Saturday evening.

When we arrived we found that North Royal was cordoned off at the Alice Street junction.

We spotted Jackson police and undercover officers searching the yard of a home.

Nearby neighbors claimed there had been a shooting, which was later confirmed by Jackson police.

The investigation is still ongoing.
