Motorcyclist killed in crash near Ann, Decatur

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a fatal motorcycle accident near W. Ann Road Saturday evening. and Decatur Blvd.

According to police, the accident occurred at the Ann Road intersection around 9:32 p.m. and Old Grove Way.

Evidence and video surveillance at the scene indicated that a 63-year-old woman was driving a 2018 Kia Forte and was traveling westbound on W. Ann Road. in the only left-turn lane approaching Old Grove Way, officials say.

A 44-year-old man was driving a 2016 Victory Vegas motorcycle and was traveling eastbound on Ann Road. on the left of three lanes on Old Grove Way.

According to police, the accident occurred when the Kia was turning left and was in the way of the motorcycle.

The front of the motorcycle crashed into the front of the Kia at the intersection.

According to officials, the motorcyclist was thrown onto the road.

Paramedics arrived quickly, but the motorcyclist could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to LVMPD.

The driver of the Kia was taken to UMC for minor injuries.

According to police, the driver of the Kia showed no signs of impairment.

Officials say this is the 115th traffic-related death in LVMPD's jurisdiction in 2024.

The crash is under investigation.
