CM Yogi tries his hand at cricket and hits the ball away from the middle of the bat in a viral video – India TV

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tried his hand at cricket on Sunday (October 6) and hit two balls in a row with the middle of his bat. Yogi attended the opening ceremony of the All India Advocates Cricket Tournament in Lucknow and extended his best wishes to the participating teams of the competition. The video of the Prime Minister hitting the ball from the middle of the pitch went viral on social media.

What's in the viral video?

In the video, Yogi is seen on his way to the pitch at the cricket stadium. He was then handed a bat by an officer. He accepted the guard with a big smile on his face as he held the bat and tapped it on the crease like professional cricketers.

He hit the first ball he faced towards the mid-wicket area and immediately prepared for the next one.

The second ball landed on the side of his leg. He went back on his back foot and hit it toward backward square leg like a pro.

“I attended the opening ceremony of the 36th All India Advocate Cricket Tournament in Lucknow today. The last 10 years have seen an expansion of sports activities in the country under the leadership of our Honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi. “Khelo India”, “Fit India Movement” and “Sansad Sports Competition” are proof of this. “Congratulations and best wishes to all teams from across the country participating in this competition,” the Prime Minister tweeted.
