Russian aerial bombs hit Konstiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, killing one person and injuring two

Russian forces fired targeted aerial bombs at Konstiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast on Sunday afternoon, reported Vadim Filashkin, head of the Donetsk regional military administration.

Konstiantynivka, located in the Ukrainian-controlled part of Donetsk Oblast, is subject to frequent Russian attacks. This is in line with Russia's broader strategy of advancing through key cities in Donetsk, as outlined by Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Russian plan apparently calls for a gradual advance through Khasiv Yar, Konstiantynivka, Druzhkivka, Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, with the aim of extending control to the borders of Donetsk Oblast.

“One person died, two were injured – these are the preliminary consequences of the attacks on Konstiantynivka.” Filashkin wrote on Telegram.

The bombing damaged residential buildings, public infrastructure and power lines. Local authorities are urging residents to evacuate immediately as attacks continue.
