The Bears converted the takeaway into a 1-yard TD run by Roschon Johnson, extending the lead to 36-10 with 4:23 to play. There was a riot after the TD. Bears OL Matt Pryor and Panthers CB Jaycee Horn were ejected. The Bears failed on the two-point conversion.

The Johnson touchdown gave Chicago a 36-10 lead.

After Johnson's touchdown, horn pushed Bears lineman Bill Murray as the team celebrated in the end zone. This led to a fight between the teams and Pryor struck several Commander players during the melee.

Pryor was eventually pushed to the ground himself by Panthers linebacker DJ Johnson, who was assessed a 15-yard penalty for his actions.

Chicago won the game and improved to 3-2 on the season. Carolina fell to 1-4 with the loss.

Before the ejection, Horn had recorded six total tackles.
