Gardner Minshew and Raiders offer prospects for Davante Adams amid trade unrest

Only the Las Vegas Raiders could achieve the informal title of “Most Rubbernecked NFL Team” within a week of a 20-16 win.

Since the Raiders defeated the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, all of the following has happened (or not happened). Las Vegas coach Antonio Pierce liked an Instagram post that fueled rumors that wide receiver Davante Adams will be traded. According to Adams, Pierce has not contacted Adams. Adams has reportedly requested a trade. Pierce brushed aside talk of a trade.

Amid this chaos, Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew expressed his appreciation for Adams' considerable talents on Wednesday.

“You always want great players on your team, and he is,” Minshew said, via Las Vegas journalist Sean Zittel. “I think we're still trying to figure out what's going on with him. I’m excited to have him out there when we get him back.”

About Vic Tafur from The athleteWide receiver Jakobi Meyers reacted more pointedly.

“It will be a distraction, it is what it is. You get the point. “It’s more about still making plays,” Meyers said. “You just have to focus on what you have, and that’s football.”

Las Vegas – currently 2-2 this season – is scheduled to play the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
