Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen: Bundesliga – BBC Sport

FC Bayern Munich played a 1-1 draw with defending champions Bayer Leverkusen and continued to start the Bundesliga season unbeaten.

Robert Andrich scored for the first time and shot the ball crisply into the bottom corner after Granit Xhaka had played the ball into his path in the 31st minute.

Eight minutes later, Aleksandar Pavlovic fired a magnificent 25-yard shot into the top corner to equalize for Bayern, although goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky was involved.

Harry Kane hit a cross to Serge Gnabry, who had a golden opportunity to put Bayern ahead just two minutes after the break, but his shot hit the post before hitting the rebound against the crossbar.

Kane was substituted in the 86th minute after he was caught on the ankle by Amine Adli and appeared to be unwell.

Alphonso Davies sent a shot wide from the edge of the penalty area and Konrad Laimer fired a shot just wide of the post, meaning neither team could score a winner.

The result ensured that Vincent Kompany's Bayern remain at the top of the Bundesliga with four wins from their first five games, while Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen sit three points behind in third place.
