A Pleasant Hill man is facing charges for allegedly stealing more than $2,000 worth of diesel fuel from a Newton business. Newton police have charged 32-year-old Keiny Carreras Rodriguez with second-degree larceny, identity theft and unauthorized use of a credit card. These are all Class D felonies. On Sept. 16, according to Newton Police Capt. Chris Wing, Key Cooperative contacted police and reported that an unknown man had fraudulently obtained and used fuel card information to purchase approximately $2,400 worth of diesel fuel. stealing dollars. The criminal complaint against Rodriguez states that the thefts occurred several times this year, between August 27 and September 10. Captain Wing says Rodriguez was linked to the thefts through surveillance cameras in the area and his black Dodge Ram pickup truck. He added that the Pleasant Hill man was arrested without incident.
