5 are indicted by a Mobile County grand jury for the murder of 9-year-old Cailee Knight

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) – Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood announces that a Mobile County grand jury has indicted Ariel Curry, Tyrone Williams, Darius Lucky and Ricki Thier for their involvement in the December 2023 murder of 9-year-old Cailee Knight.

A fifth person has also been charged but is currently at large, so we cannot name that person at this time.

The Mobile County Grand Jury indictments are as follows:

Ariel Curry

Two counts of murder, attempted murder/shooting into an inhabited dwelling.

*The grand jury upgraded the original murder charge to murder

Tyrone Williams

Two counts of murder, attempted murder/shooting into an inhabited dwelling.

* The grand jury upgraded the original murder charge to capital murder.

Darius Lucky

Two counts of capital murder

*The grand jury upgraded the original murder charge to murder.

Ricky Thier

Two counts: capital murder, attempted murder/shooting into an inhabited dwelling.

Curry, Williams and Lucky are being held without bail under Aniah Law. The grand jury did not set bail for Thier on her murder charge.
