“Shazam!” star Zachary Levi supports Donald Trump for president: “We will take back this country”

A Hollywood actor is supporting former President Trump as Election Day is just over five weeks away.

“Shazam!” star Zachary Levi announced his run for president while hosting an event with former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, the former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, in Michigan on Saturday.

Levi opened the event by explaining that he initially supported RFK Jr. in the 2024 presidential election, and when Kennedy suspended his campaign, Levi knew who he was supporting.

“In a perfect world, whatever that would be, I might have voted for Bobby,” Levi said. “But we don’t live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken world. We live in a country that has been hijacked by many people who want to take this place far off the cliff, and we are here to stop that.”

Levi added that he grew up in a Christian conservative family and his parents taught him to have “a healthy level of distrust of government,” adding that Kennedy was the “real deal” and kind of politician that he wanted to support as president.

“We will take back this country. We'll make it great again, we'll make it healthy again. And so I stand with Bobby and I stand with everyone else who stands with President Trump…” “Of the two choices we have, and we only have two, President Trump is the man who can take us there,” Levi said.

The actor also caused a storm on social media after he expressed his distrust of pharmaceutical giant Pfizer in a post on X in 2023.

The brief comment sparked strong backlash from left-leaning X accounts, criticizing the actor for “disappointing” them by supporting “antivax propaganda.”

Fox News Digital contacted the Trump campaign and Levi for comment on the endorsement and did not immediately receive a response.
