Henry County gas main leak, portion of Jonesboro Road closed

HENRY COUNTY, Ga – A gas main leak was reported at 1835 Jonesboro Road at Navy Federal Credit Union, according to a Facebook post from the Henry County Emergency Management Agency.

According to the 3:14 p.m. post, they are evacuating the credit union and may also evacuate other businesses in the area. They also say they are currently at a “cap on gas.”

Jonesboro Road is closed in both directions between Mount Olive Road and Mill Road. They are asking drivers and residents to avoid the area.

The Henry County Fire Department is monitoring the situation and will provide appropriate updates.
