Summery start to the week

Unsettled conditions will continue on Lake Michigan Sunday evening. Waves of 3 to 6 feet make for dangerous swimming and boating conditions.

Overnight lows will fall to the low to mid 50s inland, but will remain closer to 60 near the lakeshore.

Monday will be a somewhat summery day with warmth, sunshine and some humidity. Highs near the lake will be in the low to mid 70s, but inland they will warm to around 80 degrees. The dew point is in the 60s, which makes it feel a bit sticky.

A cold front will move through early Tuesday, bringing a slight chance of a few showers, but most of us will stay dry. Behind the front we will see some cooler air moving in. Highs on Tuesday will be over 60° and the wind will be blowing. Wednesday morning will feel cool, with lows falling into the 40s.

Temperatures will quickly rise back into the low 70s, reaching afternoon highs by mid to late week.
