Rocket sirens were sounded in Tel Aviv, across central Israel

A man in his 50s and another in his 30s were injured by the sirens sounded on Tuesday in central Israel, said Magen David Adom (MDA).

According to the MDA, the man in his 50s suffered moderate wounds from shrapnel. The man, in his 30s, reportedly suffered minor injuries.

The MDA added that its paramedics provided medical attention and transferred the two men, a bus driver and a private vehicle driver, to Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus in Petah Tikva.

Paramedics at the scene also reportedly treated several people suffering from anxiety.

MDA paramedics Yissachar Weiss and Matan Gida recounted what they saw when they arrived at the scene.

“When we arrived at the scene we saw signs of an explosion on the road. Nearby, a bus sat on the side of the road with its windows shattered by shrapnel.

“The 54-year-old bus driver was fully conscious and had shrapnel wounds to his head and chest, probably from shrapnel that had penetrated through the bus door. During the rescue operations, we provided medical care to the driver and after he was extricated.” “We transported him to the hospital in a stable condition in an MDA mobile intensive care unit,” they said.

United Hatzalah Elad branch manager Moshe Saadon said at the scene. “We provided first medical aid to a man aged around 50 who had sustained a head injury from shrapnel.

“At this point, his condition is defined as moderate and stable. Due to the nature of the incident, fire brigade teams are deployed at the scene,” he further noted.

Police said they were deployed to several locations in the Sharon area, including the Ramat Hasharon area, where debris impacts had been reported.

After the sirens sounded, the IDF said the warnings were triggered by projectiles fired from Lebanon into Israel, some of which were intercepted.

At 11:03 a.m. local time on Tuesday, multiple rocket sirens wailed in Tel Aviv and across central Israel.

Sirens wailed in Ra'anana, Petah Tikva and Herzliya, among other places.
